Have you ever planted a tree and waited for its first harvest of delicious fruit? It doesn’t just spring up overnight — in fact, for many fruit trees, it takes several years to produce edible fruit! And the same goes for spiritual fruit. Of course, when God begins to work in our lives, some fruit will be evident right away. But learning to consistently produce the Fruit of the Spirit in abundance takes time and practice.

So, the next time you find yourself falling a little short, remember that you’re still growing. Try to dig a little deeper into God’s Spirit, and rely on Him to sustain and grow you over time into a strong, fruitful tree!
