Quick Challenge: Let's Boost Your Author Presence!

Hey Faithful Author,

Phew! Can you believe July is almost over? Where has the time gone?

Before I dive in, I want to let you know that I've got a busy few weeks ahead with conferences. I'll be a bit slow in responding to emails, but I'm truly looking forward to digging into your messages when I return - all those life updates and writing wins are my favorite reads!

Now, based on our recent survey, I've got a simple challenge for you this week. But first, how did those templates work out for you? I'd love to hear!

This Week's Author Challenge: Post 3 Times

Here's your mission, should you choose to accept it: Create three posts this week. Don't overthink it - remember, done is better than perfect. If putting yourself out there makes you nervous, this is your chance to dip your toes in the water.

Why This Exercise Matters:

  1. Consistency: It trains you to show up regularly for your audience.

  2. Authenticity: It helps you find your unique voice in the digital space.

  3. Connection: It creates touchpoints with your readers beyond your books.

  4. Discoverability: Regular posting increases your visibility online.

  5. Growth: It pushes you out of your comfort zone, fostering personal and professional development.

The Significance in Marketing:

In today's digital age, marketing is all about building relationships. These posts aren't just about promoting your book; they're about sharing your journey, your faith, and your authentic self. This connection is what turns casual readers into loyal fans and advocates for your work.

Remember, we're not focusing on metrics or numbers right now. The goal is to help you get comfortable sharing your thoughts and letting your personality shine beyond your book.

No expectations, just post three times this week. Stuck on what to share? Here are 10 ideas:

1. A Bible verse that inspired you this week

2. Your current writing space (messy desk and all!)

3. A snippet from your work-in-progress

4. Your favorite Christian book (besides the Bible)

5. A behind-the-scenes look at your writing process

6. A personal story of faith

7. Your go-to snack while writing

8. A question for your readers about their faith journey

9. A photo of nature that reminds you of God's creation

10. A short video sharing your writing tip of the day

I can't wait to read your updates and see your posts if we're connected on Facebook!

Let me share a quick story. When I was promoting my first book, I stressed over every single post. Was it perfect? Would it offend anyone? Would it be "Christian enough"? But here's what I learned: it wasn't about perfection. It was about showing up, being authentic, and letting God work through my words - even in a simple social media post. Trust me, you'll learn so much about yourself and your ministry through this process.

The Ultimate Goal:

At the end of the day, remember why we're doing this. It's not about follower counts or book sales. It's about bringing glory to God. Every post is an opportunity to shine His light, to encourage someone, to share His love. Your words, even in a simple social media post, can be the very thing someone needs to hear today.

So, no pressure - just put yourself out there. Done is better than perfect. You never know how God might use your words to touch someone's heart.

I'm cheering you on from the sidelines! Can't wait to see how God moves through your posts this week.Rooting for you always,

Dedicated To Your Success,

Tam

P.S. I'll be eagerly catching up on all your progress when I'm back from my conferences. Keep shining your light!
