The Secret to Navigating Uncertainties
Dear Faithful Author,
I’ll be honest—running a business and leading a ministry isn’t always easy. There are days when the weight of making decisions feels like too much. So many directions to take, and with a team and people depending on me, it can feel overwhelming.
But in those moments when I feel lost, I’m reminded of this verse:
By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.
This verse changes everything for me. It reminds me that I don’t have to have all the answers—I don’t have to be in control. God is in control, and He’s already gone ahead of me. Just like He led the Israelites, He knows where I need to go and how I’ll get there. Whether I’m facing a Red Sea moment or just trying to figure out the next step, I just need to look up. His guidance is there.
And that’s why I’m sharing this with you.
Right now, there’s so much uncertainty—politically, in our careers, in our personal lives. You might be questioning where to take your writing or your ministry, feeling like there are more unknowns than certainties. I’ve been there, too. But this week, I want to encourage you to do what I’m doing: look up.
God’s pillar of cloud by day and fire by night is still guiding us. He’s right in front of us, ready to lead, if we just follow His direction.
I know I usually offer tips on how to grow your influence or use the latest strategies, but before any of that—look up. Let Him guide your next step.
I’ll see you this Thursday when I’ll be sharing the story of another Bible character and what we can learn from them about spreading God’s message through our writing and ministry.
Until then, stay focused on Him. He’s always leading us.
In His Service,
Tam
